Our Mission

The Canonicals Organization or “Canonicalization” is dedicated to the misison of creating transparent and openly accessible distribution markets that aggregate the wisdom of the crowds about the probability distribution of real world outcomes. We believe that event contracts used in Prediction markets throw away a lot of the nuance that the crowds provide by narrowly focusing on a singular probability of a binary outcome. We believe that Forecast contracts traded on distribution markets capture the structure of uncertainty about important numerical outcomes and hence are more informationally efficient.
